Scrapbook Steals November Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of Scrapbook Steals November Blog Hop! Their fabulous site is always featuring my favorite brands at huge savings and the MidWeek Mojo is such great inspiration!

I am a huge fan of washi tape and it has become a big part of my scrapbook supplies. I was super excited to get some of the fun We R Memory Keepers washi sheets to play with for the hop! I worked with the lime green and gray chevron.
While typical rolls of washi tape are fun to work with, you're limited to their width. The sheets opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me!

Because washi tape has a light adhesive, similar to masking tape, it was easy and versatile to work with.

First, I used my Cricut to cut out some flower shapes to make rosettes. Cutting the washi sheet is similar to cutting vinyl and I used the same settings. Since the adhesive backing of the sheet won't stick to a Cricut sheet, you tape it down on the sides and then run it through.

I removed the swirl die cuts and then twirled them into rosettes to use on my layout. I used the excess pieces from the sides to make banners.

The washi sheets can also be easily punched. While still on the backing, I punched circles, peeled them off the backing and folded them around twine to make a cute banner.

I also layered some larger pieces as banners so that it showed through, sort of like vellum.

That ghost quality of the washi means you can layer it over colored paper to give it a hue. I used varying shades of green to make these banners.

The washi sheet is also mistable and I used some Glimmer Mist to give it a splattered effect, and then wrinkled it intentionally on the page to give it a fabric quality.
The white color of the gray chevron sheet was so versatile and I could come up with so many projects for this color!
And speaking of fabric quality, it made a fabulous skirt on this dress form I cut out.

It added a girly touch to this page about my daughter shopping at her favorite store!

I hope this gives you some fun ideas to use with your We R Memory Keepers Adhesive Washi Sheets!
