My Sweet Family

Many of this month's challenges have featured gratitude themes and since I didn't start a gratitude journal or list of something to be thankful for each day, I feel like doing several gratitude layouts was a perfect way to celebrate November without overwhelming myself. This layout features My Mind's Eye Lost & Found line, yes the older one which I've used before, but I picked up a bunch of sheets for 25 cents each at CKC Seattle!
This was part of For The Luv Of Art's Challenge blog, to do a layout about what you are thankful for, and I used my journaling to write about being thankful for my family.
I used C'est Magnifique Kits sketch as inspiration for my layout:

ScrapFIT's Step Class #10 featured creating a layered banner with two textures. I used pleated ribbon for one texture, corrugated cardboard for the triangle banner, and mesh for the two point banner.
I added a bit of paint to the triangle banner to bring out the texture. I also used beautiful thick crepe from Mon Ami Gabby to create my yellow roses. They sell rolls of it in rich colors and I bought six rolls at CKC to play with!
