Happy Times

Here is one last layout from The Paper Loft's Funkysaurus line and our dino filled corn maze adventure!
Once again, the focus is on a multi photo two page layout using 4x6 photos. This sketch could even feature six photos of an additional photo was used instead of a journaling card!
I took so many photos this day and with these multi page layouts I'm happy I was able to preserve so many moments.

Hunting Dinos

Another day, another layout, and another featuring The Paper Loft's Funkysaurus line.
While typically I try to stay away from symmetry, it worked well to get six photos on this layout and I like that it copies the shape of the volcano.

The Big Dig

With the popularity of Instagram, 4X4 photos are just as common now as 4X6 photos. While I typically reserve printing in the 4X4 size for my Instagram photos, I find trimming my 4X6 photos to this size is not only appealing, but allows me to fit more photos on a layout.
This sketch takes advantage of that size which allowed me to fit six photos on one layout!
This sketch uses true symmetry to create balance as each page mirrors the other. This is useful too when you find a one page sketch you like but want to create a two page layout. Mirroring the page is a quick and easy way to alter a sketch to your needs!
I again used The Paper Loft Funkysaurus line for more pictures from our dinosaur corn maze adventure!

A layout and a sketch

I am a big fan of sketches and have acquired quite the collection. I find them useful when I have a creative block and need a jumping off point. I also find that if I take them to a crop, I get so much more done since I can be chatting with friends and following the sketch at the same time.
As part of my crafting goals, I thought I would start documenting my own sketches and sharing them with the layouts I've been creating.

My first sketch is a simple layout that focuses on fitting multiple photos on a layout, in this case five 4x6 photos. By using large pieces of background paper, you don't hide the fun patterns!

I'm super excited to create some more sketches for both myself and to share!
